Colombo Branch has issued the second print of their compilation of short stories that was published some years ago and now out of print. The title of the book is 'Wew Dasune Lekhakayo' meaning Writers of Lake View.
It contains short stories of some of the Literary giants of the early Forties, Fifties and Sixties who are Old Rajans all. Some among them are the likes of prolific Journalist and writer David Karunaratne, poet Deltota Chandrapala, film maker Dharmasena Pathiraja, dramatist Kapila Kumara Kalinga and film maker Sudath Mhadivulwewa.
Some others are still well known as journalists of today. And others were top public servants. Among these are some delightful stories The pioneer teacher who inspired many of these creative writers was Dr. H.S.S. Nissanka, now 83 years old living at Kundasale.
