Dharmaraja News
SPECIAL SPORTS CORRESPONDENT IN CANDY

Group winners Dharmaraja scored an easy 85 run win over Vidyartha in their final Under 17 Division match played at Lake View. This win, which is their fifth in Six games enabled them to get ahead of the Sylvestrians, at whose hands they suffered their only loss.

Though Sachintha Senanayke made the highest score (54 with six fours and a six), it was another blazing knock (43 in 36 balls, 4x7, 6x1) by Bhavantha Udangamuwe that set up the Rajans a defendable total of 196.

Left-arm spinner Isuru Prabodha bowled well to end up with 4-27. Off-spinner Dinusha Devolage took two Vidyartha get stuck on Nelson, despite the best efforts of Kevin Nimeshan, Sanjaya Seneviratne and Rashnika Ratnayake, all of whom entered the twenties.

The Rajan wrecker was left armer Rukmal Dissanaike who had another five wicket bag. His figures (8-2-18-5) reflect the way he bowled.
