Dharmaraja’s powerfully built opener Bhavatha Udangamuwa raced to an unbeaten 99 in only 81 balls to enable his team to score a comfortable nine-wicket win over Kegalau Vidyalaya at Lake View.

Udangamuwa, who had scored a big hundred in the earlier game, clobbered five sixes and twelve fours in his exciting innings. His innings helped the Rajans to win with more than 25 overs left.

Put into bat the Kegalu lads were restricted to 152. Number six batsman Thilina Kumara played a lone hand making 60 with the help of nine fours.

Spinners Anushan Bandara, Rukmal Dissanaike and Navindu Dilshan shared the wickets.

Kegalu Vidyalaya bowled a staggering amount of wides, 23 in a total of 30 extras. Some of the wides were bowled to prevent Udangamuwa reaching a hundred.
