Latest Old Rajan promoted to the rank of Maj. General in the Sri Lanka Army is Brig. Nissanka Ranawana of the Gajaba Regiment. He is placed in the Maduru Oya camp. The last Rajan to be promoted to this rank was Nirmal Dharmaratne.

They both actively figured in the front lines in Eelam War IV. Maj. Gen. Nissanka is a regular attendee at the functions of the OBU at Kandy and Colombo. We wish them further success.
