St. Mary’s Kegalle, one of the better teams in the central zone, scored a creditable four wickets win over Dharmaraja in their Under-17 Division I match played at the Kegalle Esplanade.
The win was set up by the Marian left-arm spinners who tied down the Rajans.
However it was Lahiru Kulasuriya, an off-spinner, who did the most damage by grabbing three for 15.
In reply, Thimira Kumara with a well made 37 put St. Mary’s on the victory path. This is the second win for St. Mary’s having overcome Vidyartha most emphatically in their first game.
