Cricket Carnival in the morning: Day started with Rajans participating in a 8-a-side Cricket Carnival organized by the DC Royalists. Thushara Diyabalanage organized the Rajans participation in the tournament and fielded a great team. Unfortunately after their first game, the tournament was washed out due to a heavy downpour but all the Rajans and their families had a lot of fun.  Rajans Team:  Kaushalya Siriwardena (MD), Dharmadasa Hettiarachchi (MD), Chaminda Perera (OH), Rajitha Sirwardane (VA), Prasanga Hemachandra (ID), Duminda Randeniya (TN), Geeth Uyanwatte (NJ), Thushara Diayabalanage (MD).         Mini General Meeting:    Evening events were planned at the contemporary Indian Restaurant and  Lounge "Spice Xing" in Rockville, MD. P. Gunaratne's talk: Highlight of the evening was Mr A. P. Gunaratne, one of the most respected principals of Dharmaraja College in recent history, joining us from Sri Lanka via a Skype link. DAANA member Kamal Dorabawila was in Sri lanka and was instrumental in organizing Mr Gunaratne's speech. Mr Gunaratne congratulated DAANA on this historic occasion and thanked DAANA for what it has done so far for the school and its students. He emphasized the importance of DAANA projects such as the scholarships and the book drive and requested to continue helping the infrastructure of Dharmaraja. Mr Gunaratne requested all members to actively get involved in such projects and highlighted the recent achievements of the School.  DAANA President Dr Ashoka Polpitiya's talk: DAANA president Ashoka Polpitiya talked about the growth of DAANA, and its projects so far. He highlighted that DAANA has offered 64 scholarships to deserving bright students at Dharmaraja, the very first scholarship recipient has entered the Engineering School at Moratuwa University, and DAANA has grown to 179 members. We have so far donated over SLRS One Million to Dharmaraja. DAANA also recognized it's founder, Dr Sarith Mahanama and he was presented with a souvenir plaque.  Dinner Dance: After the buffet style dinner Rajans flocked to the dance floor showing their talents!  Rajans and their family members.
