The Singer Schools’ Rugby League games involving Kandy schools that were scheduled to be held this weekend have been postponed due to prevailing conditions in the country.
The Wesley College vs Dharmaraja College rugby fixture that was to be held on the 10th of March and the Trinity College vs St. Anthony’s College game that was scheduled to be held on the 11th of March have been postponed and will be rescheduled to be played at the end of the first-round, Denzel Darling, the tournament secretary confirmed the situation to ‘The Island’.
The following week’s matches (16th, 17th,18th and 19th March) will go ahead as scheduled, with Trinity playing St. Joseph’s in their first game of the league while, St. Anthony’s College will host Royal and Dharmaraja playing Isipathana College.
The S. Thomas’ College vs St. Joseph’s College game that is scheduled to be played on the 12th of March at Havelock Grounds, will go ahead as planned.
