G.B. Yatigammana, retired DIG passed away last week at Kandy. Yati was the College Cricket captain in the year 1955. He was known for the gallant century he made against the star studded Ananda at Campbel Place that year, when Ananda side was in full cry. It was not very often that a Kandy player scored a century against a Colombo side at that time, and more so against the formidable Ananda. Yatgammana though small made, was a stylish stroke maker.
